This has just helped the few IT companies and the Contractors. The common man has to still use the road below. From Silk board to the Veersandra you will come across seven signals.
Seven signals for a stretch of 10 km that is 1 signal for 1.4 km after spending so much money.
Our babus and ministers go on European and US tours to study their roads and infrastructure!!
With the service road being two way adds to the chaos.
Surprisingly on this Highway they have not used the concept of Exit the Highway!.
At the Electronic city phase 1 to get to the NICE road the trucks have to get to the service road but on the serice road as per the rules trucks and buses are not allowed.
What a waste of money 880 crores.
But anyway who cares for the general public who are weak and as no say in anything.
A few years hence its really going to be tough for the few traffic cops who man this busy road.
================
Solution
Make the below road 6 lanes and remove the service road being 2 ways, use exits instead but this is going to be tough now with the elevated highway as a obstruction. But may be exits can be underground.
Strict lane discipline.
Bus stops not on the high way but at the exits.
