Easy Auto Service

Do you use auto rickshaw for your day-to-day commuting?

Then you must be wasting an average of 20 to 30 minutes on the road trying to get a willing auto to take you in. REFUSAL!! This is a major challenge that you face everyday. This is not a challenge only for you, this is a issue for the law enforcement agencies as well. Other problems that we face are tampered meters, drivers who do not behave properly. Haven’t we cursed the auto drivers for all of these and more? But have we ever tried to understand why we ever face such issues? Have we tried to find a solution for this problem?
Easy Auto Service is a call-auto service that is an initiative licensed by the Transport Department of Karnataka through the Regional Transport Authority. This initiative is supported by the Bangalore City Police. By establishing a call-center that co-ordinates the passenger and auto finding, at Easy Auto it is our vision and commitment to make your auto-commuting a pleasant experience. At Easy Auto we feel that this is the beginning of a social change, because the revenue generated by this project goes back into supporting the livelihood of the drivers and their families.
How does Easy Auto work?
Any time you need to commute by auto rickshaw, please call 9844112233 and their agent will assist you in getting one.
Do I need to register to use Easy Auto?
At the moment, it is not compulsory to register. But, it is a good idea to register on our website http://www.easyauto.in.
Do I need to pay for registering?
Registration is currently FREE, and there are many additional features that are available for a registered user.
What are the benefits of registering?
Registered users can see the availability of auto rickshaws in the website itself when they login. Additionally, registered users can store frequently used addresses, create profiles of family etc. so that the Call center will know who the caller is and will be able to assist faster. Registering will also help for future when  start auto booking and SMS for auto service.
Can you book auto rickshaws in advance?
This is a service they will start once their fleet size grows to 500. With 50 autos it is very difficult to offer advance booking. Moreover, the tariff plans of Government has no provision of advance booking, we need to get approval from RTA before we do anything that does not have clear permission.
Are Easy Autos differentiated from other autos?
It is only in service and other small markings like our visible sticker, id card with the driver etc. [which we will issue on Dec 05 2009 to the driver] that you can differentiate an Easy Auto from a normal auto.
Who should the commuter get in touch in case he / she has any query?
The commuter can get in touch with our office by sending a mail to helpline@easyauto.in
How are the usage charges for Easy Auto?
In Easy Auto the metre charges are as approved by Government, which is a minimum of Rs.17.00 and Rs.9.00 for every additional kilometer. Though Government has approved a service fee of Rs.3.00 for availing this service, it is not being charged right now.

Please note that autos will start the metering to you only at the point of boarding if the vehicle is within 0.5 km running of your point of boarding. But if the auto is beyond this, [Their fencing for GPS is 5 km radius], then the agent will ask your consent before connecting this vehicle to you, and metering will start from the current location of the driver and not the point of boarding.
