Epic Browser opens the web pages at lightening speed. Epic's built is based on Mozilla platform and open source software technology. The main feature of Epic is its Sidebar. It has got many apps/widgets in it. In Epic the user can simultaneously access the apps in the Sidebar while browsing his favorite sites.

With the help of Epic, the user can browse the files in My Computer, listen to the Latest Soundtracks, check the News updates, Live Cricket Scores, search for Jobs, Type in any Indic Languages, change the Themes and Wallpapers and more. The main features of Epic are: Maximum Security, Malicious Website Warnings, Anti-Publishing Protection, Fast Browsing and Downloads and many more.

 The Epic Browser is the first-ever web browser for India and the first product from the software company Hidden Reflex.

Hidden Reflex is a software product startup founded by Alok Bhardwaj in 2007 and based in Bangalore. Alok, who was raised in the U.S., was inspired by the success of open source software and web 2.0 innovations. Hidden Reflex began as a team of three but soon progressed and now has dedicated teams working on two products simultaneously the Epic Browser and NewsDrink. The company also has three patents pending related to its product innovations.

The company's vision is to become the first globally recognized, consumer-oriented software product company in India. According to Alok Bhardwaj, CEO and Founder of Hidden Reflex, "We want to prove that India can be a hub for innovation in software and technology."

 Type in Indic languages

In the sidebar icons list, click the Indic icon to type in your regional language in Epic.
Steps to type in your regional language:

Click the drop-down menu in the extreme end of the window, select the Indic language in which you want to type.
Start typing in the specific area/work space with the help of your keyboard and hit the space button on your keyboard. The text will then change to the selected language.
Note:
For web pages that don't have an option to type the text in Indic languages, you can write the text here and copy, paste it into your E-mail or Website.

Copy and Paste the text:
Click the drop-down menu, select the Indic language in which you want to type.
Start typing in the specific area/work space with the help of your keyboard and hit the space button on your keyboard. The text will then change to the selected language.
To Copy and Paste the Indic text from the sidebar, click Save and Copy button.
Note:
Save and Copy option saves the text in Epic browser, so you don't have to worry about loosing the text.
Uncheck the drop-down box to type the text in English.

Epic Write

Epic Write is a full-processed Word Processor. We can easily create text documents, tables, images and reports using this app. 'Write' has Indic language support and can be accessed through a drop-down menu, that is situated at the extreme right-hand side of the page with a check box. You can enable the option to type the text in any Indic language with help of your keyboard.

Social Network
In Epic the user can access all the popular networking sites like
Gmail , Orkut , Yahoo , Facebook , Twitter
and all the other major sites/chat messengers.

Maps

Through Epic the user can instantaneously get the maps across the world and can get the driving directions for different locations. To get the directions click the Maps icon in the sidebar and Enter Start address and Enter Destination address in the provided textboxes.

Play Games
A Game is a structured activity usually undertaken for enjoyment and sometimes used as an educational tool. Epic has some exciting games which will provide entertainment and recreation to the user. The games are offered depending on its category. For example, the first category has nearly 6 Action games embedded in it.
Steps to choose and play a game:
Click Games icon in the sidebar to play the games in Epic. In the Action Games section, click the green square button to select the game which you wish to play. On clicking the green button, it will change to yellow button . Click the Play button and wait for some time to let the game to start. Follow the instructions on the screen to start the game and to play.

Anti Virus in Epic
The Epic browser has built-in Anti Virus and Anti Spyware scanning. These scans will help the user in detecting and removing the viruses and malwares from his system.
Steps to use Anti Virus:
Click Anti Virus (AV) in the Epic to open the AV in the sidebar.
To scan the computer, click the button Scan My System.
To scan the folders, click the button Scan My Folders and select the relevant folder you want to scan.
To scan all the downloaded files/images on your computer, select the check box Scan My Downloads.
